Winter Solstice, 2019, Acrylic on paper, 2018
Size: 59 W x 42 H x 0.1 cm
This beautiful old willow tree is by a nearby lake. Paul saw it one frosty morning and was fascinated by the way the twiggy branches played against the snowy sky.

This soulful Mother-in-Law's Tongue almost looks like it's waiting for somebody to come home.
Still Life for Giorgio de Chirico, 2019, Acrylic on canvas, 2019
Size: 46 W x 61 H x 1.5 cm
I loves the edgy, disorientating, angular work of Giorgio de Chirico and this is how he imagined he'd paint a still life.
This is varnished and framed and ready to hang.
Cherry Blossom, 2018, Acrylic on canvas, 2018
Size: 60 W x 60 H x 4.5 cm
Apple Orchard, 2018, Acrylic on paper, 2018
Size: 42 W x 30H x 0.1 cm
Inspired by a beautiful stand of cherry trees in Cambridge with their pink petals dancing in the wind.
The RSPB have planted a fruit orchard at Fen Drayton Lakes and this is a very loose interpretation what it would be like to standing in the sunshine with the apple blossom and buzzing bees.

I worked extensively at Granada TV in Manchester in the 1980's and loves the City. This is the view from his son's first first post uni flat.
Staithes, Acrylic on paper, 2018
Size: 42 W x 30 H cm
This is the view from The Old Joiners Shop in Staithes looking out over the Staithes Beck.
Staithes is a quaint seaside fishing village on the North Yorkshire coast at the bottom of a 45% hill with two art galleries and two pubs.

An orchid lit by an angle poise lamp just like in your first house or student flat.
