My painting ‘Working Round the Clock’ is on back wall, top row, one in from the left.
The gallery is set in the beautiful Southwark Park and there’s a cafe with delicious cakes and coffee.
Now in its 39th year, 2023’s Annual Open takes place both online and in their Lake Gallery. The Annual Open exists to encourage artists at all stages of their career from across the UK to submit their work as part of a large-scale annual salon show. Since the gallery opened in 1984, the Annual Open has been a highlight of Southwark Park Galleries’ calendar.
Completed my Degree
I’ve now completed my degree and am waiting for my result. Thank you everybody who came along to my degree show and made it such a special event. The exam board sit in January and I should have my confirmed result by 24th January 2024. Since I made my first ‘Ice Drawing’ in December 2015 it’s been quite a rollercoaster and I still can’t quite believe I am headed for a BA Hons Painting, University for the Creative Arts.
Other News… and your news!
As most of you know I’m also an actor. I’ve had some great auditions for good character parts in high end TV/film recently, mostly comedy drama roles. They’ve not worked out but it’s brilliant to be considered for some bigger projects. I managed to pick up the new SpecSavers commercial as the ‘Hero Bus Driver’ which was great fun to film. In the meantime I’m busy painting and researching building ups a body of work for my next solo show next Autumn, and hopefully some group shows along the way.
It would be lovely to hear any of your news… have you been painting? Seen a great exhibition?
